Brendan O'Loughlin

Brendan O'Loughlin is one of Dublin's most recognisable voices, with over 20 years of broadcasting experience entertaining and informing radio listeners across the capital. As co-host of 98FM's Big Breakfast alongside Rebecca Shekleton, Brendan wakes up thousands of listeners every weekday morning with his trademark dry wit and sharp observation.

Before joining the breakfast show in 2020, Brendan spent 13 years in the newsroom, honing his storytelling skills while interviewing everyone from the Taoiseach to leading figures in business and charity. That experience now brings a natural ease to his on-air conversations with some of the biggest names in entertainment.

Brendan's work in radio has earned him more than a dozen IMRO awards, including two Gold awards for Best Breakfast Programme with Rebecca Shekleton, as well as News Broadcaster of the Year and News Bulletin of the Year. Alongside radio, Brendan is one third of the hit TV podcast 'Shrine', which gained major attention across Ireland and the UK following its launch in 2019.

He has also appeared as a contributor on Ireland AM and The Six O'Clock Show, as well as on BBC Breakfast. A passionate music fan, Brendan has served on the National Jury selecting Ireland's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Known for his easygoing charm and quick humour, Brendan brings warmth, authenticity and a natural curiosity to everything he does, whether he's chatting with listeners on air or collaborating with brands and audiences beyond the studio.
